DESCRIPTION:
WW - Tudor Oyster Shock Resisting, ref 4463, circa late 1950s, 34mm x 42mm to lug tips, 18mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back Oyster case, black leather strap, original silvered dial with radium painted Arabic numerals, 17J, s#531832, triple signed with inside back ref 4463. The serial number dates this watch much later than it's appearance would suggest, but numerous other pieces of this reference number have similarly long serial numbers for late '50s references.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide; dial with ample radium burns from the hands; excellent blued steel radium hands still as radioactive as the day they were new; lightly polished case shows light wear, no dents or dings; original signed crown shows hardly any wear, good threads; good crystal; resealed for auction.
